NEW ROSE HOTEL & ABEL FERRARA.
This is one film Asia Argento is very proud of.
The chanse to work with the legendary Abel Ferrara.
The rough dirictor from the bronx who started of making
one of the worlds most banned films ever "DRILLER KILLER"
in the late seventies followed by the masterpiece
"Ms 45" in 1981. Both of these films made a lot of headlines
due to the disturbing elements in them.
Then came a total
void for years to come, nothing came out but some episodes
of Miami Vice. Abels name was once again forgotten. His film
"China girl" was the first real sign of life from the director.
The film was receved as a pretty good film but, the world
was not yet redy for him.
1990 a year to remember, "King Of New York" came and a new
era of filmmaking and filmmakers was born. You might say
that Abel Ferrara made directors like Quentin Tarantino
come to life! This film features the exelent Christopher
Walker. An actor realy fond of Abels work we must assume.
Then came "Gambler Thief Junkie Killer Cop" a film you have
to see to belive a real work of art. This great film, very
unlike anything you ever seen before features Harvey Keitel
as the fornacating, drugadic, killing, gambling, you name
it hes done it cop. Now, now run of and rent it...and
you will understand what im telling you.
Lots of films followed like The Funeral, Dangerous game
and The Blackout. Finaly we rapp up the story of
this great director with his new film New Rose Hotel.
based on a short story by William Gibson the wrighter
who gave us books as Virtual Light and Neuromancer.
The beutiful and equaly talented Asia Argento plays the
part of Sandii, a teenage prostitute. You will find other
famous and gifted actors in this film like Walken and Defoe.
This film is sure to bring us some nice hours in the
dark of the cinema.
I must point out the pride Asia feels for this film.
She realy enjoyed making this film together with Able.
She consider him a one of the top directors in the world,
and she hopes that every actor will be able to work with
such a talented man even if its just for one film.
